OPEN POSITIONS

 
LEAD TEACHER

The Lead Teacher is responsible for the overall management of the classroom, which will include providing a safe and developmentally appropriate early childhood education program in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures, planning and implementing a program to teach young children. Must have a minimum of a CDA or higher with a minimum of two years of experience in early childcare and classroom education. Initial 45 hours DCF training required.
Minimum of 20 clock hours of annual training in early childhood/child development including training with the age group with whom you are working; to include 10 hours DCF approved in-service hours annually. TEACHING ASSISTANT

Under the supervision of the Teacher, the Teaching Assistant will assist in the care of children and the management of the classroom. This will include assisting with providing a safe and developmentally appropriate preschool program in accordance with all relevant legislation and policies and procedures as well as planning and implementing a program to teach young children. The Teaching Assistant assists the Lead Teacher in Planning and developing classroom activities for preschool children, helps to keep a safe environment for the children and clearly communicates with parents and other staff members about issues concerning the children. Must have CDA Credential or higher, a minimum of 2 years of experience in early childcare and classroom education, Certified in First Aid and CPR, Initial 40 Hours DCF training, at least 20 Clock hours annual training in early childhood/child development and 10 hours DCF approved in-service hours annually. Early Interventionist

Seeking an early intervention specialist to provide services to the birth to 3 population in their natural environment. The early interventionist will play a very important role in identifying and serving children with significant delays or a condition likely to result in a developmental delay. This person will serve as an interface between families and other service providers. In this role, the interventionist helps the family navigate the intervention system and helps coordinate the communication between therapists, social service-providers, medical personnel, and the educational system. The staff member will be assigned a caseload and will be responsible for providing direct services to the family and child where they live, learn and play, to enable the family to implement developmentally appropriate learning opportunities during everyday activities and routines. Most services will be early intervention home visits.

This is a salaried position with travel reimbursement, medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401K matching, and life insurance policy. This position must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Social Work, or Special Education.
